This entails a planning of sustainable local development able to integrate needs of peripheral areas, tackling the Eu polycentric tendency, in order to maintain their economic activity and attractiveness. The starting point is a sustainable local development able to intercept green economy sectors, through a multidisciplinary approach. An approach difficult to tackle especially in non-urban areas where local authorities lack enough resources to train or hire a professional ad hoc.
